Do you know a child who struggles to sit still or focus at school?
Maybe they get frustrated easily, and won’t attempt a challenging task again if they don’t succeed on the first try. Or an older child who hasn’t mastered the balance and coordination needed to ride a bike without training wheels? What about the child who has difficulty making friends, or understanding social cues from others?
Children today have higher rates of anxiety, sensory processing difficulty, and ADHD than ever before. They spend more time than ever indoors and on screens. In many Louisville neighborhoods, children lack access to safe outdoor spaces where they can grow and develop essential lifelong skills. In these same neighborhoods, health outcomes and life expectancy are lower than neighborhoods with more accessible outdoor spaces.
By providing a variety of therapeutic services in natural environments, we help children build resilience, social skills, self regulation, and motor skills. We target their specific needs, as well as providing programs for all children to experience the health benefits of getting outside and growing through play.
